Your photos and the family week, on the screen at home

Switch Rivowall to Personal and the app becomes a home screen. Put your best photos on the TV in the living room, show what's coming up in your Google Calendar and add the weather.

Already use Rivowall for your business? Choose Personal under Settings. Your screens and content stay.

The screen at home switches between a photo, the week ahead and the weather.

The same app, with a home of its own

Personal mode gives Rivowall its own start page and menu for home, with Photos, Calendar, Our screens, On our screen and Screen times. What makes the business version dependable comes along, like playlists, schedules and offline playback.

Your best photos, not your whole camera roll

Add photos and choose the screen list they go into. Portrait photos stay whole on a landscape TV. The photo fills the height and a soft, blurred copy fills the sides, so nobody gets cropped off.

  • Upload JPG, PNG or WebP from your phone or computer
  • Choose photos per screen, for the living room or the kitchen
  • Let guests add photos with a QR code at a party, after your approval

What's on this week, at a glance

Connect Google Calendar and pick a calendar, for example the family calendar. The screen shows the appointments for the next 1, 3, 7 or 14 days. You keep planning in Google Calendar; the screen shows it.

  • Read-only access, so Rivowall never changes your calendar
  • Choose "Busy" to keep titles and places off the screen
  • The last view stays on screen when the internet drops

Weather, news and your own designs

The apps from the business version work at home too. Add the local weather, headlines from a news feed or a birthday card you made in Canva.

  • The weather updates itself
  • RSS news shows the latest headlines
  • Templates make a slide with your own text and colours

Use the screen you already have

Connect a screen with a short code from the app. The player runs in the browser of a phone, tablet or computer. On iPhone and iPad you add it to the home screen, and for the Mac there is the Rivowall Player app. Under Our screens you see whether each screen is online.

  • Photos keep playing without internet once they have downloaded
  • Works in portrait and landscape
  • The player speaks English, Dutch and German

Up and running in three steps

  1. Choose Personal

Create an account, or open Settings in your existing environment and choose Personal.

  2. Connect your screen

Open the player on the device by the TV and enter the screen code from the app.

  3. Add photos and your calendar

Upload a few favourites, connect Google Calendar and choose what plays on which screen.

Business or personal is one switch

The choice applies to the whole environment, and you can change it any time. Screens, content, schedules and access rights stay as they are. Switching does not create a new account.

Business

  • An overview with screen status, campaigns and reports
  • Menus for screens, content, templates, playlists and planning
  • Roles and a review step for your team

Personal

  • A home start page with your photos, calendar and screens
  • A short menu with Photos, Calendar, Our screens, On our screen and Screen times
  • Invite family members with a login of their own

Both modes are available in English, Dutch and German.

What it costs at home

Start with one screen and try it free. Add a screen for the kitchen or for grandma and grandpa whenever you like.

First screen
Free for 14 days, then €4.99 per month
Every extra screen

Every feature is included, and business and personal use the same account.

Questions about Rivowall at home

Do I need a smart TV?

No. The player runs in the browser of a phone, tablet or computer, and there is an app for the Mac. Connect that device to your TV, or use a tablet on its own as a photo frame. The first connection and download need internet.

Can Rivowall change my Google Calendar?

No. Rivowall asks for read-only access and only shows the calendar you choose. With the "Busy" option, titles and places are left out of the image on the screen. You can disconnect under Settings at any time.

Who can put photos on our screen?

You decide. Family members you invite get their own login. Guests who scan a QR code can send in a photo, and it waits for your approval unless you turn on showing photos straight away.

What does it cost?

Your first screen is free for 14 days and then costs €4.99 per month. Every extra screen costs €9 per month, the same as for businesses.
